Skip hire in Wongarbon
Wongarbon is close enough to Dubbo that most local operators can deliver without a long trip. The village has a mix of town blocks and acreage, so jobs include house clean-outs and renovations as well as shed, fencing and green-waste clean-ups.
Where waste goes
Wongarbon isn't one of Dubbo Regional Council's five village transfer stations (Ballimore, Eumungerie, Geurie, Stuart Town and Toongi). For larger loads, the main option is the Whylandra Waste and Recycling Centre on Cooba Road off the Narromine Road, about 15 km west of Dubbo, open weekdays 8am to 4:45pm and weekends 9am to 4:45pm. It's cashless. For a big clean-up, a skip saves several trips across town.
Sizes
A 3 m³ skip suits a garage, 6 m³ a kitchen or big yard job, and 8–9 m³ a shed or house clear-out. Heavy waste such as concrete or soil needs a smaller bin. See the size guide.
Council rules
On your own land a skip generally doesn't need approval. On the road, Dubbo Regional Council requires section 68 approval. See the permit guide.
